Previously, he was CFO of Renova Energia S.A.; member of the Board of Directors of Usina Enersugar S.A. and Bahia Etanol Holding S.A. In addition, he was CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Tonon Bioenergia S.A. and CFO and Director of Investor Relations and New Business Development of Infinity Bio Energy Brasil Participações S.A. He also has experience in the financial market, having been a partner at the financial consulting firm AMG Partners and worked in financial institutions such as BES Investimento do Brasil S. A., Banco Sudameris, Unibanco and Banco Safra.

A consolidated career in leadership positions in strategic people management, with experience in the railway, port and logistics sectors, Marcos Mendes started his career at Oi in October 2000, having served as Regional HR Manager, Corporate HR Manager, Director of Labor Relations and since February 2020 he has held the position of Director of People and Management.
